Sizzling start to pre-season

With the rain cleared, this season’s training kicked off in earnest with about 180 players from grades and colts training last Tuesday and Thursday.  It was good to see the early enthusiasm fostered under the guidance of new Premier Grade Coach and former Magpie captain, Ken Wills, along with Assistant Coach, Steve Kefu, Colts Coach Paul Keane and Strength and Conditioning Coach Jim Barrett.  Also nice to see was our own Queensland Reds, Van Humphries and Beau Robinson, taking time from their own busy pre-season to come to the nest and show their support

Let’s keep the momentum and have another good showing again this Tuesday and Thursday (@6pm sharp).

Thursday after training, there will be a Sausage Sizzle and drinks on the deck, so come along and meet your new clubmates and catch-up with some old ones.

Premier Grade training moved; Lower Grades Cancelled.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All PREMIER GRADE players and those wishing to play Premier Grade are required for training tonight, Tuesday 24th January, at Coorparoo Boxing Gym, 94 Holdsworth Street, Coorparoo.  Please be at the Gym by 5:30pm.  Bring along a towel, water bottle and $5.

Training for all lower grades has been cancelled for tonight.

2012 ARU Insurance

Important information is available for the 2012 ARU Insurance coverage can be found here.

All Players and especially the parents of new Colts players, should make themselves aware of the ARU Insurance coverage.

2012 Training Commences Tuesday Jan. 10th.

Training for all grades for the 2012 Rugby season commences this coming Tuesday, 10th January 2012.

All NEW players and all returning players are MOST welcome.

Training begins at 6pm at "Chipsy" Wood Oval, Frederick Street, Annerley (in Yeronga Park) and players are requested to bring their rugby boots and mouthguards etc.
