Round One vs Sunnybank - Chipsy Wood Oval
With a washout of the weekend's Round One fixtures, the Premier Competition teams took on the Sunnybank Dragons in a night match on the following Tuesday as per the competition wet weather rules.
Unfortunate not to have the big crowd the weekend would have brought, the reigning Queensland Premiers were given a surprise by the club still feeling the whelts of last year's wooden spoon and a reminder to the competition of what the Magpies are capable of when defending the nest.

Saturday, 14th April - Trials - Chipsy Wood Oval
Fresh from the Easter break, the mighty Magpies played trials against the Western Bulldogs at The Nest.
A mixed bag of results in Division One with losses to 4th and 2nd Grade teams and victories to 3rd Grade, 1st Grades and Colts 2.
In Premier Division, both Colts and Premier Grade were convincing winners.
The Premiers, wearing the new 2012 jersey, pictured below, dominated the Bulldogs in both the forwards and backs. Exciting new winger, Dom Lespierre featured with four tries on debut.
The final score was Souths 57 - Wests 22.

Friday, 13th April - Normanby Cup - CANCELLED
Friday night's match at Oldmac Oval has been cancelled as Sunnybank have withdrawn from the Normanby Cup competition.

Friday, 30th March - Normanby Cup - Chipsy Wood Oval
The first official match of the season was to be on Friday night at The Nest, with our Normanby Cup side to take on Easts. Unfortunately (for Easts) Easts forfeited this match and the Friday night lads take a victory. Well done gents!
Saturday, 31st March - Trials - Bottomley Park
After a wash-out at Norths, our first inter-club trial of the year and all grades took on the Easts Tigers at Bottomley Park with mixed results:

24th July 2010 - Premier Colts v Brothers
Brothers Premier Colts have kept their foot firmly on the accelerator heading into the finals and have all but ended Souths chances of a finals berth in toppling the Magpies 33-31 in a thrilling affair at Brothers' Crosby Park.
