Round Seven vs University Of Queensland- Chipsy Wood Oval
A hot and cold performance from the Magpies kept them just out of touch with University kicking away our bonus point with last minute penalty goal.
Premier Colts sit just outside the four after another bonus point win.
Reserve Grade hold second by for and against on a closely contested table with a handy win over the Students.
Despite suffering their first, albeit narrow, loss of the season against Uni, Second Grade are still top of their table.
University remain undefeated in Third Grade after coming back against our Dew Sweepers, who hold third on the table.
Colts One share the top of their table with University after losing to them by just one point.

Round 6 Results - vs GPS, Wests

Saturday, 11th May
Round Six vs GPS- Yoku Rd, Ashgrove
With the Souths and GPS holding two victories each in the lower grades, the Premier Rugby match became the decider for the inaugral Torkington-Daley Cup.
However GPS, with solid defence and hunger at the breakdown overcame the Magpies four tries to two, took the new trophy and remain undefeated in second place on the table with the equally undefeated Brothers.
Souths are now 3 and 3 for 2013 and will be looking to tip the balance in their favour when they take on University at The Nest this Saturday.

Round 5 Results - vs Brothers, Easts, Uni

Saturday, 4th May
Round Five vs Brothers - Chipsy Wood Oval
Despite a great start for the Magpies, they were unable to hold out the undefeated Brothers, who ran away with it in the second half for a 42-15 scoreline in Queensland Premier Rugby Round Five.
Souths Premier Grade now sit in fourth place behind Brothers and GPS, both undefeated, and Easts.
Premier Colts fought out a tough 24-all draw and sit just outside the four on their table.
With the remainder of Souths' teams victorious over the weekend, Seconds, Thirds, Fourths, Fifths and Colts 2 are now at the top of their tables. Colts 1 are in third while First Grade sit in fifth only by points difference.
Overall a fantastic club effort.
Next week we face GPS, away at Yoku Road.

Vietnam Veterans' Cup
Round Four vs Norths - Chipsy Wood Oval
A good crowd was on hand for the first home game of the season and the rugby on display did not disappoint.
Premier Grade successfully retained the Vietnam Veterans Cup by smashing Norths, scoring 11 tries to reach a 71-7 scoreline.
All other grades were successful against Norths with Division One's Fourth Grade the only losing side for the weekend, going down to University at St Lucia.
If you couldn't make it to this week's home game then make sure you don't miss this weekend when Souths take on the undefeated Brothers.

Round Three vs Wests - Sedgman Oval
The Magpies faced the Doggies at Sylvan Road in Queensland Premier Rugby Round Three.
Div 1 1st Grade, unable to repeat the comeback performance of last week, were the only team not to win.
Premier Grade secured a one-point win with 14 men and Premier Colts and Colts 1 should face animal cruelty charges after belting the Dogs by 80 and 60 points respectively.
