Souths has a very proud history in Queensland Rugby winning nine Premierships (with a record equaling five successive Premierships) and an unprecedented 13 Grand Final appearances from 1986 to 2000. The Club has produced great Wallabies and Reds such as "Tiny" Betts, Nev Cottrell, Alec Evans, Andrew Slack, Tom Lawton, Tim Horan, Jason Little, Dan Crowley, Garrick Morgan, Sam Scott-Young, Toutai Kefu, Mark Connors, Brett Robinson, Steve Kefu and Quade Cooper.
