With the rain cleared, this season’s training kicked off in earnest with about 180 players from grades and colts training last Tuesday and Thursday. It was good to see the early enthusiasm fostered under the guidance of new Premier Grade Coach and former Magpie captain, Ken Wills, along with Assistant Coach, Steve Kefu, Colts Coach Paul Keane and Strength and Conditioning Coach Jim Barrett. Also nice to see was our own Queensland Reds, Van Humphries and Beau Robinson, taking time from their own busy pre-season to come to the nest and show their support
Let’s keep the momentum and have another good showing again this Tuesday and Thursday (@6pm sharp).
Thursday after training, there will be a Sausage Sizzle and drinks on the deck, so come along and meet your new clubmates and catch-up with some old ones.
