First Annual Brisbane 7's

Souths Rugby Club are proud to be hosting the first annual Brisbane 7's Rugby Tournament on Saturday February 16th.

This fantastic, family event with rugby, music and of course lots of fun!

Season Launch - Friday 12th April

Souths Rugby Union invites all players and their families, members and wider community to the 2013 Season Launch.

2013 promises to be a great year for the Magpies with plenty of enthusiasm from all new and returning coaches and players.

Souths Juniors' players will present the 2013 Souths Premier Rugby Team with their jerseys; hear from the Premier Coach about the season ahead and we'll introducethis year's Club and Premier Captains.

We hope that you and your family can join us for a BBQ and drinks (from 6pm), and kick off the 2013 season with a great night at ‘The Nest’.

A tradition for over twenty years, its time again for the Annual Souths Christmas Carols by Candlelight.

Come join us from 6 pm at the Nest for a night of food, drink, song and goodwill to all.

There will be Santa with goodies for the kids and a BBQ, and seasonal sing-along.

Its that time of the year again, when we take stock of our aches and pains, contemplate was and what may have been and most importantly, break out the bag of fruit and take the cheese and kisses to the glamour event of the year, the prestigious Magpie Awards.

Souths Rugby Golf Day - Friday 24th August

On Friday, 24th August, Souths Rugby will hold its golf day at the Riverlakes Golf and Country Club, 34 Gleneagles Drive, Cornubia.

Mel-O Cocktail Gala Evening - 7th July

In partnership with Souths Rugby Union, the Ongolea family will be holding a cocktail evening on 7th July 2012, at Souths Clubhouse.

Sapa Ongolea and his wife Mel are long standing members of Souths, where Sapa continues to be an active and avid player. Earlier this year in January, Mel (33) was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Melanoma. Currently, Mel is at home surrounded by her loving family and enjoying precious time with their two little boys, Isaac (3) and Joseph (6mths).

Due to medical schedules and caring for their young children, the family is confronted by financial challenges. The funds raised from this night will be used to cover medical costs and other out of pocket expenses.

As you can imagine this beautiful young family need all the love and support we can give…
